Youth Auditions Announced for Summer Panto

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Drayton Entertainment is pleased to announce Children’s Chorus auditions for Peter Pan: The Panto, which will take place at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend on April 14 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 12:00 pm. The show will be on stage at South Huron Stage, Huron Country Playhouse from August 7 to September 1.
The Children’s Chorus Program offers aspiring young performers (ages 8 to 15) the opportunity to audition for the children’s ensemble in Drayton Entertainment’s production of Peter Pan: The Panto alongside professional performers in the lead roles. This program is offered completely free of charge. Hopefuls will be asked to learn and sing a portion of the material shown on Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy's website as a solo audition. The young performers will also learn a section of choreography as a group, and then perform the dance for members of our creative team. To accommodate the demands of this grand-scale production, and to provide opportunities for as many youth as possible, performers will be divided into two teams (red team and green team) and will perform in the show on an alternating schedule. The Creative Team is led by Director and Choreographer David Connolly, who helmed last year’s sold-out production of this show.
Connolly is joined by Music Director Steve Thomas, Set Designer JC Olivier, Costume Designer Rachel Berchtold, Lighting Designer Jeff Johnston-Collins, Assistant Choreographer Christine Watson, Stage Manager Amber Archbell, Assistant Stage Manager Loralie Pollard, and Apprentice Stage Manager Anna Whitehead. Peter Pan: The Panto is written by Caroline Smith.
Rehearsals for Peter Pan: The Panto will begin July 22 at the Huron Country Playhouse. The production will run from August 7 to September 1. Children’s chorus members must be available for all rehearsals and shows they are called for.

Regular performance tickets are $57.75 for adults, $35.70 for youth under 20 years of age. Tickets for select Discount Dates and groups of 20 or more are $47.25, and small groups of 10-19 are $52.50.
