Drayton Entertainment’s 9th Annual Golf Classic Drives Success

On a beautiful day at the Elmira Golf Club, Drayton Entertainment hosted its 9th Annual Golf Classic, drawing theatre enthusiasts and golf lovers together for a fun-filled day on the greens. This signature fundraising event, which this year supported youth theatre programs at the Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy, was a resounding success, raising critical funds while providing participants with a memorable day of golf and camaraderie.
The rain held off and teams took to the course for the 9 am shotgun start, where the Elmira Golf Club’s scenic layout provided the perfect backdrop for a day of competition. Highlights included the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, which sparked some friendly rivalries and impressive performances.
The tournament wasn’t just about the scores; it was about the shared experience. Participants enjoyed plenty of laughs, a few lucky shots, and even the occasional mulligan, all in the spirit of supporting the arts. In addition to the on-course activities, the 50/50 putting challenge, raffle, and post-tournament reception brought even more excitement to the day, with lucky winners walking away with prizes and bragging rights.
Alex Mustakas, Drayton Entertainment’s Artistic Director & CEO and Neil Aitchison, Member of Drayton Entertainment's volunteer Board of Directors expressed their gratitude to everyone involved, acknowledging the importance of events like the Golf Classic in sustaining the organization’s work within the community.
