Billy Bishop Goes to War

The High-Flying Canadian Classic

Written and composed by John  MacLachlan Gray in collaboration with Eric Peterson

The incredible saga of Canadian WWI flying ace Billy Bishop comes alive on stage through rousing stories, haunting memories, and vibrant song in this critically-acclaimed musical memoir and winner of the Governor General's Literary Award for Drama.

Underachiever extraordinaire William Avery Bishop is the Royal Military College's worst student ever. But before he can be expelled, he enlists for service in the miserable trenches of the First World War. One day, the brash recruit spots a single-seater plane circling overhead, igniting his passion for flight. Defying intense prejudice and astonishing danger, he rises through the Royal Canadian Air Force ranks and transforms from a rebellious young man into the most successful fighter pilot of his generation.

The cost of war, the complexities of Britain's colonial past, and the true story of a soldier's survival culminate in a powerful and gripping theatre experience about one of Canada's most irreverent heroes.

The Dixie Swim Club

A Heartwarming Comedy

By Jessie Jones, Nicholas HopeJamie Wooten

Five Southern women who met years ago on their college swim team set aside a long weekend every summer to reminisce and reconnect. Free from husbands, kids, and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh, and meddle in each other's lives.

Over the years, the five feisty ladies increasingly rely on one another, through advice and boisterous banter, to get through the challenges – including men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging – that life flings at them, with some hilarious and unexpected twists and turns.

Part Steel Magnolias, part Designing Women ... with just a hint of Golden Girls, southern-fried humour abounds in this rollicking comedy about the enduring power of friendship.

Evita

The Broadway Musical Masterpiece

Lyrics by Tim Rice
Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber
Produced on Broadway by Robert Stigwood in association with David Land
Directed on Broadway by Harold Prince

"Oh what a circus, oh what a show" ... this epic Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice charts the meteoric rise of Argentina's infamous Eva Perón, affectionately known as Evita.

Full of ambition, glamour, and magnetism, Eva climbs her way up the ladder of success from a life of poverty, first as a model and actress, then as the wife of General Juan Peron, and finally as a celebrated spiritual leader and the most powerful woman in South America.

To the poor masses, she is adored as a saint; to her enemies, she is reviled as a manipulative dictator. Nevertheless, for over thirty years this legendary woman becomes the driving spirit that helps define a nation.

Featuring some of the best-loved songs in musical theatre including "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," "Buenos Aires," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall," and "High Flying, Adored," Evita is a powerful and riveting theatrical experience not to be missed.

A Few Good Men

A Powerful Courtroom Drama

By Aaron Sorkin

Before it became an Academy Award®-winning movie, A Few Good Men was the groundbreaking first play by then-unknown author Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, Charlie Wilson's War, Moneyball, The Social Network, and many more), who would become one of the greatest screenwriters of the 21st century.

When two marines are accused of killing one of their own at the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, hotshot young lawyer Daniel Kaffee, with a penchant for plea bargains, is tasked with their defense. It looks like a simple case of soldiers behaving badly until evidence suggests that high-ranking officials may have ordered an illicit disciplinary measure known only as a "Code Red." When fellow lawyer and Naval investigator Lieutenant Commander JoAnne Galloway suspects a cover up, the legal team must face the highest authorities, and put the entire marine code of honour on trial in order to solve the case. But can they "handle the truth?"

Inspired by actual events, this gripping story of conspiracy and corruption in the name of patriotism is a fascinating look at morality in our modern age.
