Grand Bend

This audition is for programs and productions at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend.
Audition Date: Saturday, February 2
Audition Location: Huron Country Playhouse

Registration Time: 12:00 p.m.
Audition Time: 1:00 p.m. (Auditions will run no later than 4:00 p.m.)

• Special Youth Musical Theatre Program in Grand Bend (ages 9 to 15)

Special Youth Musical Theatre Program Information
Location: Huron Country Playhouse II
Run dates: July 29 to August 31

Instructions
1) Print a Youth Audition Form. Fill it out and bring it with you to the audition.
2) Bring a recent photo with you to the audition. A close face shot is best.
    Please have this separate from your resume and audition form.
3) Sign up to audition for using the registration link.

Dancing, acting, and singing experience are an asset and preferred.

Young performers should be prepared to learn the song "Hard Knock Life" from Annie. (see below for lyrics and music), as well as a short dance combination, led by our creative team.

Things to Prepare
• Print and fill out the Youth Audition Form with a current photo (close face shot) and bring it with you.
• Comfortable clothes and shoes
• Be prepared to sing the song "Hard Knock Life" from Annie. (see sheet music below)

Things to Know for the Special Program in Grand Bend
• Rehearsals for Jack and the Beanstalk at the Huron Country Playhouse II will begin in early August at the Huron Country Playhouse II.
• There will be at least two groups of children who will rotate performance dates from August 8 to August 31.
• Children cast in the production must attend all rehearsals and performances assigned to their team.
• Please note that times and dates are subject to change.
• Participants of this program must be available from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 3 for the training week AND from August 5 to August 31 for performances of Jack and the Beanstalk: The Panto.

Waterloo Region/Wellington County

This audition is for programs and productions at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge, Drayton Festival Theatre and St. Jacobs Country Playhouse.

• Rehearsals for Annie at the Drayton Festival Theatre will begin in early May at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge with remaining rehearsals and performances at the Drayton Festival Theatre.
• There will be at least two groups of children who will rotate performance dates from June 5 to June 30.
• Children cast in the production must attend all rehearsals and performances assigned to their team.
• Please note that times and dates are subject to change.
• Rehearsals for Annie at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge will begin in mid September at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge.
• The two groups of children who will rotate performance dates from October 2 to October 27.

Waterloo Region Afternoon Audition - Pre-Professional Production Program

Things to Know for the Pre-Professional Program
• The program is a hands-on musical theatre workshop for young performers aged 13 to 18.
• Performers will learn first hand how a musical is cast, rehearsed and performed while they work with a professional creative team to product a concert version of a production.
• Please note that times and dates are subject to change.
• Please note that the Two Week Pre-Professional Production Program will take place in St. Jacobs, but it is open to participants from across the province. Young performers age 13 to 18 are eligible to audition for the program in the region most accessible to them, but must determine their own accommodations and travel to the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse if they are selected for the program.

This audition is for programs and productions at the King's Wharf Theatre in Penetanguishene.
