St. Jacobs Country Playhouse

The St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is conveniently located on Benjamin Road at the northern edge of Waterloo, in the heart of St. Jacobs' Market District.  With the exquisite Best Western Plus St. Jacobs Country Inn next door, and endless shopping within walking distance, a visit to the Playhouse is a memorable outing, whether you're coming from near or far.

Operating year-round, the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is a distinctive venue that features turn-of-the-century masonry and heavy timber accents associated with traditional Mennonite architecture.  With 385 seats, the theatre auditorium has a raked layout that affords each seat a fantastic view of the stage.

From Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo

• Take Highway 401 westbound.
• Take Highway 7 & 8 to Kitchener-Waterloo (Exit 278).
• Take Highway 85 North. You will pass University Ave E., King St N, and Northfield Dr W.
• Exit Regional Rd. 15.
• Turn left onto King St N (Rd. 15).
• Turn left at stoplight (new Walmart SmartCentre) onto Farmers Market Road, followed by a left turn onto Benjamin Road. The theatre is on the right-hand side.

From London (North), Stratford

• Take Highway 4 (Richmond St.) to Elginfield.
• Turn right onto Highway 7 to Stratford.
• In Stratford Highway 7 becomes Erie Street. Turn left at Huron/Ontario Streets, followed by a quick right onto Mornington Street (also called Highway 119).
• Take Highway 119 to County Road 121, and turn right onto Regional Road 11 in Millbank. Travel this road to Crosshill and turn left onto Regional Road 15. You will travel through St. Clements and Heidelberg.
• You will reach a T intersection and turn right onto King Street. This is followed by a quick right-hand turn at the lights onto Weber Street.
• Proceed on Weber Street to the second set of lights. Turn left onto Benjamin Road East. The theatre is located on the left-hand side.
