Harvey

A Classic Comedy

A Play by Mary Chase
Directed by Alex Mustakas

Also on stage at King's Wharf Theatre and Playhouse II

Harvey is an affecting comedy which inspired a beloved motion picture starring James Stewart. We invite you to suspend your disbelief and enter the surreal world of the affable Elwood P. Dowd and his companion Harvey, a six-foot tall rabbit.

When the eccentric gentleman decides to introduce his mythical friend to guests at a party, his society-obsessed sister commits him to a sanitarium, inadvertently setting in motion a chain of events that will cause everyone to question their own reality.

A comic fantasy about dignity, self-respect, and the loyalty of friendship, this Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece will disarm you with its warmth, wit ... and yes, whiskers.
